Political Leader Demands Ban on Bigg Boss Tamil Over Controversial Scenes
Political Leader Calls for Ban on Bigg Boss Tamil
Velumurugan, a prominent leader from the Thamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi (TVK), has publicly called for a prohibition on Bigg Boss Tamil, the reality show hosted by Vijay Sethupathi.
During a recent press conference, Velumurugan expressed his grievances regarding the show’s content, arguing that it is detrimental to Tamil culture. He believes that some scenes broadcasted on the show are unacceptable.
Allegations Against the Show
Velumurugan stated, “I have nothing against television shows. Some of them even promote our culture positively.” However, he criticized Bigg Boss for showcasing “vile acts” that undermine the cultural ethics of Tamil Nadu. He pointed out that the program seems to prioritize profit over cultural integrity.
The TVK leader also elaborated on some of the scenes aired, highlighting “disgusting body movements” and kissing scenes that could be inappropriate for families and children. He questioned the morality of continuing to air such content for financial gain.
Action Proposed by Political Leader
Additionally, Velumurugan has submitted a motion to the Tamil Nadu assembly speaker, Appavu, urging action against the show. He warned that if no action is taken, they would organize a significant protest at the Bigg Boss venue and Vijay Television, involving thousands of women.
As of now, Bigg Boss Tamil’s Season 9, hosted by Vijay Sethupathi, began airing on October 5 with 20 contestants.
