Spotlight on Emerging Designers at IED Barcelona's Fashioners of the World 2025

## IED Barcelona’s Fashioners of the World Show

IED Barcelona recently celebrated its 21st annual Fashioners of the World show at the stunning Palau Reial de Pedralbes. This year’s event was notably the biggest yet, showcasing 25 incredible collections from graduates of both the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design and the BA (Hons) in Fashion Design programs. Each collection brought forth compelling themes focusing on sustainability, innovative techniques, and material creativity.

### Awards and Recognitions

An esteemed international jury evaluated the showcased works, resulting in the presentation of five significant awards that recognized both quality and diverse artistic approaches.

The **Franca Sozzani Award for Best Fashion Collection** went to Laia Ripoll for her collection “YHÖ.” This womenswear line creatively delves into themes of emotional healing, utilizing both rigid and soft fabrics alongside a striking palette of blacks, greys, and metallics. A particular look from her collection will be featured at Pitti Fragranze 2025, with a fragrance collaboration by MANE.

Anna Guitart captured the **Isabel Coixet Award for Best Fashion Film** for “Morriña,” a collection that transcends gender norms and draws inspiration from family memories, incorporating intricate elements like embroidery and lace. The film can be enjoyed on IED Barcelona’s YouTube channel.
