The first glimpse of Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, from the upcoming film Ikkis has been revealed, alongside the announcement that this war drama is set to hit theaters in December 2025.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film showcases the story of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient.
Agastya’s first look is out
Set to be directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Ikkis recounts the inspiring true story of Lt. Arun Khetarpal, who became India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient due to his remarkable bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Veteran actor Dharmendra will also be part of the film.
Maddock Films took to social media to unveil the first poster, stating, “On the birth anniversary of Arun Khetarpal, Ikkis, a story that will forever stay in our hearts, is wrapped. Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films present Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, a true untold story of the youngest officer recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. In cinemas December 2025!”
Reactions from family and fans
The announcement was celebrated by Agastya’s sister, Navya Nanda, and his uncle Abhishek Bachchan, who expressed their support for his new venture. His rumored girlfriend, Suhana Khan, also showcased the film on her Instagram stories.
Fans expressed their enthusiasm in the comments, saying, “All the very best to Agastya and the entire cast and crew. Eagerly waiting,” while another wrote, “It’s essential to highlight such untold stories of real heroes for the younger generation.”
Teaser released earlier this year
The teaser released in May depicted a letter sent during the Battle of Basantar, informing Lt. Khetarpal’s father of his son’s martyrdom. The visuals transition into impactful wartime sequences, showcasing Agastya’s portrayal of the hero’s bravery.
This film marks Agastya Nanda’s second significant role in Bollywood, following his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s *The Archies* (2023), where he played Archie Andrews alongside Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor.
