Rahman recounted, “We had lost touch for a few years. When producer Namit Malhotra brought up ‘Ramayana,’ he suggested we work together. I was thrilled; this project is monumental, and it’s a true honor.”

Rahman further explained, “When I approached him, he was very welcoming, asking all the right questions typical of a Western audience. He would ask, ‘Who is this character?’ This kind of inquiry is beneficial for making ‘Ramayana’ more accessible to a global audience.”
Zimmer is a respected figure in Hollywood, renowned for his exceptional film scores, including the acclaimed works for “Interstellar,” “The Lion King,” and “Dune.” This collaboration promises an exciting blend of creative talents.
In “Ramayana,” actors like Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman will star. The first part is expected to hit theaters during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in 2027.
