Salman Khan Discusses His Rift with Arijit Singh
The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar showcased Salman Khan as he entertained viewers while also discussing his previous misunderstanding with singer Arijit Singh. Their relationship seems to be on the mend, especially following Arijit’s recent involvement in the film Tiger 3.
Details of the Rift Unveiled
During the episode, comedian Ravi Gupta lightened the atmosphere with humorous exchanges. Upon meeting Salman, he joked about feeling nervous due to their resemblance to Arijit Singh, bringing laughter to everyone present. However, the conversation took a surprising turn.
Salman smiled and stated, “Arijit aur main bahut acche dost hai. Jo misunderstanding thi, meri side se thi. Uske baad usne gaane bhi kiye mere liye. Tiger me kiya tha, ab Galwan me kar raha hai.” (Arijit and I are very good friends. The misunderstanding was on my part. After that, he even sang songs for me. He sang in Tiger, and now he’s singing in Galwan.)
Background of the Controversy
The tension between Salman and Arijit dates back to 2014 during an award show hosted by Salman. Arijit appeared on stage in slippers, leading to a playful exchange where Salman asked jokingly if he had been asleep, to which Arijit replied that they put him to sleep. What was meant to be playful reportedly didn’t go down well.
In 2016, Arijit took to social media to apologize publicly, hoping that Salman would keep his version of a song for the film Sultan. However, rumors persist that many of Arijit’s songs were removed from Salman’s films, indicating a lingering fallout.
Things seemed to change with Arijit contributing his voice to “Le Ke Prabhu Ka Naam” in Tiger 3, a clear sign that the two may have reconciled.
