Pranutan Bahl Reflects on Her Journey

Pranutan Bahl, the daughter of Mohnish Bahl and granddaughter of the legendary Nutan, has carved her own path in the Bollywood industry. Despite the privileges that come with her lineage, she acknowledges the challenges she faced. In a candid interview, Pranutan shares her struggles, emphasizing that not all celebrities from film families have an easy ride.

Pranutan Bahl discusses her career challenges.

Insights from Her Early Career

Pranutan made her debut in the 2019 film *Notebook*, opposite Zaheer Iqbal. Reflecting on her beginnings, she recalls the early lessons of the industry. “Being around actors, I learned quickly that this is a tough field,” she shared. She recognizes that many aspiring actors who come from non-film backgrounds face emotional hurdles that she was better prepared for.

The Reality of Rejections

Contrary to popular belief, Pranutan insists that not every ‘star kid’ succeeds effortlessly. “I experienced two years of rejection before landing my first film,” she explained. Her journey began with auditions in 2016, and she faced numerous setbacks before finally breaking into the industry.

She adds, “I want to earn success on my own merits. When I walked into auditions, I introduced myself by my first name only, keeping my family connections under wraps. I wanted callbacks based on my talent alone.”

Upcoming Projects

After *Notebook*, Pranutan starred in *Helmet* and *Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani*. She is set to appear in an upcoming bilingual film, *Coco & Nut*, and has completed filming for two other projects, including a cop drama and a thriller, which are yet to be released.
