Exclusive| Priyadarshan addresses Paresh Rawal’s return to Hera Pheri 3
Filmmaker Priyadarshan shares insights on the return of actor Paresh Rawal to Hera Pheri 3.
Fans of the beloved *Hera Pheri* series breathed a sigh of relief when Paresh Rawal announced his return for the third film. His earlier exit in May had sparked a flurry of speculation, with reasons ranging from financial disputes to creative disagreements.

With Rawal confirming his role, filmmaker Priyadarshan spoke about the project, stating, “I am based in South India, and whenever a film is confirmed, I will go to shoot it. I’m solely committed to Akshay Kumar for this movie, and I am not aware of others.”
He further explained, “I haven’t made any comments on the issue until now. I prefer to stay away from cinematic politics. Suniel, Akshay, and Paresh are my closest friends. The differences among them have been resolved, and that’s all I’m privy to.”
Although he did not mention any names, his words hinted at recent remarks from producer Firoz Nadiadwala, who has claimed that his brother, Sajid, played a role in mediating the disputes.
“Akshay, Paresh, and Suniel told me that they’ve discussed and agreed to move forward with the film. It doesn’t involve any other person. Some claim outside interference, but to my knowledge, the three main actors have made this decision and have informed me,” shared the 68-year-old director.
When Will Hera Pheri 3 Begin Filming?
As for when *Hera Pheri 3* might commence filming, Priyadarshan mentioned, “I’ve just completed my work on *Bhooth Bangla* and am gearing up for another project with Saif Ali Khan and Akshay. I anticipate that I will be diving into *Hera Pheri 3* next year.”
