Rishab Shetty’s period drama, *Kantara Chapter 1*, has made significant waves at the box office, achieving remarkable ticket sales during its opening week.

The Kannada film has rapidly gained popularity, reaching over ₹500 crores in worldwide earnings within just nine days. According to reports, it outsold both *Jawan* and *Jailer* on BookMyShow during its first week.

Kantara Chapter 1 sold approximately 8.2 million tickets in its opening week on BookMyShow, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s *Jawan* (7.65 million) and Rajinikanth’s *Jailer* (6.60 million). While *Jawan* grossed about ₹1,160 crores globally, *Jailer* collected around ₹604.5 crores.

This achievement places *Kantara Chapter 1* as the third-highest ticket seller on BookMyShow within its first week, trailing only behind *Pushpa 2* and *Kalki 2898 AD*.
