Rupali Ganguly Shares How Karwa Chauth Makes Her Feel Extra Special

Sharing her thoughts on this tradition, Rupali explains, “Having witnessed my in-laws celebrate, I feel a deep connection to continue this legacy. Even with my tight shooting schedule, my team allows me time to return home and break my fast. While I’ve enjoyed Karwa Chauth gatherings, I find the most joy in intimate moments shared with my husband at home. Our son Rudraansh participates too, holding the thali, making it even more special.”

As she reflects on past celebrations, Rupali reminisces, “On my first Karwa Chauth, my father-in-law helped prepare sargi, serving delightful treats like ghee ki mathri and seviyan. Although this will be my second celebration without my mother-in-law, video calls with my sisters-in-law help us stay connected. This beautiful ritual is entirely optional and rooted in personal choice.”

Tradition and Pampering

Rupali expresses how much she cherishes the pampering she receives during this festival. “Ashwin is wonderful in the kitchen, preparing all my favorite dishes for Karwa Chauth. I feel truly spoiled by both my husband and son,” she shares enthusiastically. The family also looks forward to the moment of moon sighting, capturing the essence of the tradition meant to honor the longevity of spouses.
