Ismail Darbar Discusses Second Marriage and Infidelity: A Personal Insight
Ismail Darbar opens up about his second marriage, infidelity: ‘She dresses me, ties my shoelaces’
Ismail Darbar provides insights into his second marriage and his wife Ayesha’s conversion to Islam, emphasizing it was her personal decision.
Music director Ismail Darbar has candidly shared details about his life, particularly concerning his second marriage and his wife Ayesha’s transition to Islam. In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, he clarified that Ayesha, previously known as Preeti, converted of her own volition, without any external pressure.
Insights into Ismail’s Second Marriage
Ismail revealed that he was separated from his first wife, Farzana, when he met Ayesha. Upon being asked about his sons’ reactions to his new relationship, he praised their maturity. He noted that his separation from Farzana resulted from incompatibility rather than conflict.
In response to allegations of infidelity, Ismail recounted his proposal to Ayesha: “After an argument with Farzana, I called Ayesha for a drive. After about an hour, I stopped the car and asked her to marry me, and she said yes. I had begun to develop feelings for her, as she appreciated my work and we bonded through long conversations.”
He further acknowledged Ayesha’s sacrifice, stating she left her burgeoning career in the entertainment industry to focus on their family. “She dresses me even today, ties my shoelaces, and my sons, Awez and Zaid, lovingly call her ‘Ayesha mummy.’ They deeply respect her for how she raised their half-brother, Imaan,” he added.
