Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari box office collection day 5: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s film continues to face challenges.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari box office collection day 5: Directed by Shashank Khaitan, this romantic drama faced a lukewarm response from both critics and audiences. Competing against Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1, the film showed slight growth during the weekend but faced a downturn again the following Monday.
First Monday box office collection
Based on reports from trade tracking sites, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s film earned ₹9.25 crore on its opening day, followed by ₹5.5 crore on Day 2. Over the weekend, it saw some growth, collecting ₹7.5 crore on Day 3 and ₹7.75 crore on Day 4. However, on its first Monday, the film only managed to earn ₹2.43 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹32.43 crore.
In terms of global earnings, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has garnered around ₹42 crore but is yet to reach the significant milestone of ₹50 crore. This decline happened even after a Buy One Get One (BOGO) promotion was launched on Monday.
Dharma Productions advertised the offer on Instagram, stating, “This season’s greatest ➕1️⃣ offer for people in love and… heartbreakers!”
About Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari
The film, a romantic comedy, stars Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra, alongside Akshay Oberoi, Maneish Paul, and Abhinav Sharma in crucial roles. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced under the Dharma Productions banner, it tells the story of Sunny (Varun Dhawan), who finds himself heartbroken when his girlfriend Ananya (Sanya Malhotra) succumbs to family pressure and agrees to marry Vikram (Rohit Saraf). In the midst of emotional turmoil, Sunny and Tulsi (Janhvi Kapoor) plot to crash the wedding of their respective exes.
As unexpected feelings develop between Sunny and Tulsi amid the chaos, their journey raises the question: Will either find their happy ending?
An excerpt from a review notes, “The core idea of the film that nobody should sacrifice love due to family pressure is somewhat lost because the families themselves are not convincingly portrayed. The focus on romance overlooks the necessary development of supportive family dynamics.”
