Actor Saif Ali Khan shared insights on his early career, highlighting the reactions he received in the ’90s: people remarked on his luck in getting multiple opportunities. However, he pointed out that during that time, he wasn’t cast in top-tier roles.
Saif reminisced about how people considered him lucky, saying, “You’ve got so many chances.” Despite these chances, he felt that he wasn’t landing the prime roles during that period.
He noted that as he grew in his career, he discovered the value of thriving in a competitive environment with his co-stars. Saif observed, “That’s why working with wives and girlfriends is not a good idea.”
Throughout his career, Saif has collaborated with Kareena Kapoor in notable films including LOC Kargil (2003), Omkara (2006), Tashan, Roadside Romeo (2008), Kurbaan (2009), and Agent Vinod (2012). The couple has also appeared in various advertisements together.
Saif expressed that future projects featuring both of them would require the right director to envision them not just as a married couple but as individual actors. “It will take creativity from someone who thinks outside the box,” he remarked.
Kareena Kapoor will soon star alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran in the crime-drama thriller *Daayra*, following her recent role in Rohit Shetty’s *Singham Again*. Saif, meanwhile, was recently featured in Netflix’s *Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins*, which premiered on April 25 and includes cast members like Jaideep Ahlawat and Nikita Dutta. His next project is the film *Haiwaan* by Priyadarshan, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Saiyami Kher.
