Sami Clarke and JT Barnett Separate: “My Life is Shifting”

In a statement shared on her Instagram Stories, Clarke revealed, “My life is shifting and I’m moving into a new chapter apart from JT. It’s truly hard to put into words how tough this feels, but I trust it’s the right step for me.”

She continued with gratitude, “I’ll forever be grateful for the love and memories we shared for these past eight years together. Thank you for giving us space and grace as we move through this new chapter.”

The couple was married on November 2024 and described it as “the best day of our lives,” according to their joint Instagram post. “We are THE BARNETT’s,” they celebrated.

How They Met

Clarke and Barnett’s romance began on social media. “He slid into my DMs after commenting on a photo of me getting baptized, and what started as a friendly exchange quickly turned into something more,” she shared. At that time, he was in Russia playing hockey, while she was pursuing modeling, maintaining a long-distance friendship before they finally met in Los Angeles.

Reflecting on their first meeting, Clarke noted, “It was magical. We spent five hours on a rooftop, talking non-stop, and by the end, we both knew this was something special.” This encounter laid the foundation for what blossomed into a meaningful partnership.

Barnett’s Proposal

Clarke previously shared that Barnett’s proposal was exceptionally thoughtful and well-planned. “He worked with my management team to create a fake job offer I couldn’t refuse — a couples’ photoshoot for a brand. When I arrived at the shoot, he proposed! To make it even more special, he flew in both of our families to celebrate the moment with us. It was heartfelt and so uniquely us — one of the best days of my life,” she recounted.

Recently, Clarke shared a reflective message on her platform, stating, “Healing isn’t just learning to be with the hard stuff — it’s learning to let the good in, too.”
