Australia to Host World’s Largest Water EDM Festival Featuring Big Names

The largest water-themed EDM festival in the world is gearing up for its inaugural event in Australia. The S2O Songkran Music Festival will take place at Brisbane’s Royal Queensland Golf Club on Saturday, February 28th. This festival is famous for blending EDM with stunning visuals and exhilarating water activities.
Excitingly, S2O has already secured prominent international and local artists for the event. Headliners include UK house sensation James Hype, Brazil’s Alok, singer Becky Hill, and renowned Australian DJ Will Sparks.
According to a statement released on Thursday, October 2nd, “Since launching in Bangkok in 2015, S2O has transformed into a global event, merging the traditional Thai Songkran festival’s water celebrations with vibrant music and performances. The festival has successfully expanded across Asia, North America, and other regions, consistently drawing sold-out crowds.”
“Australia has been longing for a bold, innovative, and truly world-class experience,” shared Kenneth Ngov, a partner with S2O Australia. “With S2O, we aim to establish a new standard for live entertainment in this country.”
Simon Coyle, another partner from S2O Australia, emphasized their goal: “We wanted to create something that goes beyond a typical festival—it’s an immersive experience. It brings together water, music, community, energy, and top-notch production in one unique celebration.”
He also noted, “Brisbane serves as the ideal setting for our grand vision—prepare for the wettest, most exhilarating party ever!”
Tickets will be available starting at 9 AM on Thursday, October 9th. For additional details and to view the full lineup, check the official website.
