The worldwide box office collection for OG has now exceeded the total earnings of recent hits like Mohanlal’s L2 Empuraan and Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par. This Pawan Kalyan film continues to perform strongly, highlighting its popularity among audiences.
OG’s Impressive Earnings
OG commenced its journey with a striking ₹150 crore on its debut day, factoring in paid previews. Despite some fluctuations afterward, the film’s box office performance remained robust throughout the week, crossing ₹154 crore net (₹183 crore gross) within India after six days. Its international revenue has also surpassed $10 million, contributing to a total worldwide gross of ₹275 crore, according to trade estimates.
Comparison with Other Films
OG is currently recognized as the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year, surpassing previous hits like Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam. With its Tuesday earnings, OG outperformed other notable Indian films, including Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan and Sitaare Zameen Par, which had total collections of ₹267 crore and ₹268 crore respectively. The film’s sights are now set on Housefull 5 and Lokah Chapter 1, which stand at ₹288 crore and ₹290 crore, respectively.
This week alone, the film managed to generate around ₹10 crore gross globally on Tuesday. Should it maintain this positive trend, OG is expected to surpass ₹300 crore by Friday and possibly reach ₹350 crore before its theatrical run concludes.
