Lainey Wilson Set to Host 2025 CMA Awards Before Australia/New Zealand Tour

Lainey Wilson Returns to Host the CMA Awards
Lainey Wilson is set to take the stage as the host for the 59th annual Country Music Association Awards, just before her much-anticipated tour in Australia and New Zealand.
A Solo Hosting Debut
This marks Wilson’s second time as host, but her first solo journey. Previously, she teamed up with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning for the hosting duties last year.
“I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor,” Wilson expressed in a statement. “I’m humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can’t wait to love on this genre that has given me so much.”
CMA Nominations
In addition to her hosting responsibilities, Wilson is a strong contender this year, nominated for six CMA awards. She shares this honor with Ella Langley and Megan Moroney, making her one of the nominees with the most categories. Her nominations include Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and both Single and Song of the Year for “4x4xU.” She is also nominated for Album of the Year for Whirlwind and Music Video of the Year for “Somewhere Over Laredo.” From her previous accolades at the 2024 CMA Awards, she won Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”
Upcoming Show Details
Fans can catch the 2025 CMA Awards live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 19, at 8 p.m. ET. The event will be available for streaming the following day on Hulu.
