K-Pop Trio Huntr/x to Make Live Debut on The Tonight Show

The talented trio behind Huntr/x, the fictional musical group featured in this summer’s hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters, is set to make their live debut on October 7, appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

On September 29, NBC announced that Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami will perform their chart-topping single “Golden,” from the Sony Pictures/Netflix movie, which has achieved the remarkable milestone of being Netflix’s first number-one box-office title in its 18-year history. The film’s soundtrack has also soared to the top of the charts.

The trio will also sit down for interviews with Fallon, and their appearance will be available for streaming the following day on Peacock.

The film focuses on Huntr/x, a K-pop sensation that also serves as demon hunters. The members—Rumi (played by Arden Cho), Mira (portrayed by May Hong), and Zoey (played by Ji-young Yoo)—are tasked with safeguarding their fans while confronting their toughest adversary yet: a boy band of demons in disguise.

In response to the film, fans have taken to the internet, creating art, covers, cosplays, and dance choreography, helping the movie remain a consistent favorite on Netflix’s weekly Top 10 list since its debut on June 20.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming live performance by Huntr/x?
