Rishab Shetty’s Commitment: No Non-Veg and No Footwear During Kantara’s Bhuta Kola Scenes
Rishab Shetty recently shared insights about his upcoming film, *Kantara Chapter 1*, during a press event in Kerala, identifying as a ‘believer.’
Rishab Shetty, the talented Kannada actor and filmmaker, is gearing up for the release of *Kantara Chapter 1* on October 2. In a recent press engagement, he disclosed that while filming specific scenes, he refrained from consuming non-vegetarian food and avoided wearing footwear. Here’s his rationale.
Rishab Shetty’s Commitment During Filming
When asked about the rumors concerning his dietary restrictions and footwear during filming, Rishab clarified, “I abstained from these practices not for the entire film, but just for certain sequences. It was a unique experience, and I needed a clear mindset to avoid confusion while shooting.” He emphasized his spiritual connection, saying, “It’s a God I believe in, so I limited my choices during that time.”
The actor also mentioned that he ensured a minimal crew was present on set during these sacred scenes. He stated, “Typically, movie sets are filled with people, but I took extra care to maintain a respectful environment. I have great reverence for my beliefs and expect the same respect in return.”
Clarifying Misconceptions Regarding the Film
A recent viral post urged viewers to refrain from consuming non-veg and to follow specific rituals before watching *Kantara Chapter 1*. Rishab addressed this at a press conference in Bengaluru, clarifying that neither he nor his team was associated with this message. “It’s not anyone’s place to dictate personal choices regarding diet. A misleading post was shared, but it was quickly retracted after we brought it to light,” he explained.
*Kantara Chapter 1*, directed by Rishab himself, features a stellar lineup, including Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram among others, and is set to hit theatres on October 2.
