Winter realized her dream of being part of SM, the company she always wanted to join. The artist revealed, “I auditioned three times for SM.”

How Winter Finally Debuted as an aespa Member?

After being turned down twice by SM, Winter made one last attempt. “I was in touch with someone at SM, and when I mentioned I might choose another agency, they invited me for one final audition,” she recounted. It was this opportunity that displayed her talent and charm.

In 2017, she signed with SM Entertainment, undergoing three and a half years of training before debuting as part of aespa with members Karina, Giselle, and Ningning.

Winter Discusses aespa’s Concept Evolution

Winter recalled, “Ningning and I were trained in pure and cute styles during our trainee days, and when we recorded ‘Next Level,’ it felt more like an OST remake.” This marks a significant departure from aespa’s current powerful concepts, which likely reflects the group’s adaptation to industry trends and audience expectations.
